Welcome to the Troop 5 web page. Here you will find any and all critical information regarding our Troop!
All Troop 5 leaders are BSA trained and several have attended and completed the ardous Wood Badge training. Several leaders and scouts are members of the Echochockotee Lodge of the Order of the Arrow.
We are a very active troop and have a scheduled camping activity every month of the year. We camp regardless of the weather! Some of our more popular and highly anticipated trips are the:
- 50 mile canoe trip (many former scouts that are now adults come back for this trip)
- Six Day Mountain Hike trip
- Bike/Hike Camp Out
- Bi-annual summer camp outside the state of Florida
- Kingsley Lake Camp Out
- Florida Springs Camp Out
The Troop meets every Tuesday evening at the Scout Hut located on the Christ the King property adjacent to the Vietnamese Center. Meetings start at 7:00 PM and end around 8:15 PM. Please come and join us!
